Tim Arnold

 

Tim Arnold was the first solo news anchor on Sky News, and reported forthe BBC from Northern Ireland during the civil conflict known as The Troubles.

 

He has interviewed many internationally-known subjects, ranging from Tony Blair to Gerry Adams and Kate Bush to Eric Cantona, and covered the dramatic Maastricht parliamentary debate for GMTV. Tim has taught journalism around the world, and examined up to Engineering Doctorate level.

 

Tim has worked at chief executive level as a media consultant for many organisations, including the accountancy body the ACCA, the Port of London Authority, and Unite the Union.

 

His in-house communications roles include spearheading national news coverage for Guide Dogs and being the interim head of communications for a major charity helping blind and partially-sighted people into work, where he re-branded the organisation and built a highly effective public relations team from scratch.

 

Tim also masterminded the charity re-launch of the Mustaqbill Foundation in one of the Thames Valley’s most deprived areas after the Covid 19 epidemic, raising tens of thousands of pounds to promote community cohesion, and to support male victims of domestic abuse.

 

He is an honorary admiral in the Great State of Alabama Navy and a life member of the National Union of Journalists.
